The very first riddle of the Pokemon Gen 10 Starter cycle is here, with less than one month to go until Pokemon Presents 2026. This time, the riddle is not coming from Riddler Khu, who is the source many have become used to for this kind of content.
Instead, it is coming from someone on Twitter called “just a dude 111,” which is a pretty good username if the goal is to avoid attention, especially with Pokemon continuing to go after people leaking information and rumors.
This version of the riddle is being shared through the Hidden Power podcast, and the image work helps make it clear this is being framed as a Gen 10 teaser.
According to the way this riddle is being presented, it is supposedly tied to the starter choices:
Something to do with a bowl
Something to do with a plate
Something to do with a cup
There are multiple directions this could go, but a first observation is how starters are usually presented from left to right as Grass, Fire, and Water. When looking at these items as basic pieces of pottery:
A bowl can hold something like a salad
A plate holds something cooked or fired, like meat
A cup holds water
That initial connection lines up cleanly with Grass, Fire, and Water. Beyond that, it is not clear whether the riddle is about the shapes themselves or about what would go inside the bowl, on the plate, or in the cup, and that is where things get more confusing.

There has also been a lot of discussion that Gen 10 could take place in Indonesia in some form, since recent generations have typically tied regions and starter themes to the real-world location the game is inspired by.
Looking into animals native to that expected setting does not immediately create a clear connection to the bowl, plate, and cup idea. Right now, the cleanest read still comes back to what those items hold: Grass, Fire, and Water.
There is also the possibility that this is just the first in a series of riddles that will eventually build into a clearer picture once more pieces are revealed.
A second rumor has also surfaced recently, coming from “Ball Guy,” a name that some will remember from the Sword and Shield era and later became part of Gen 9 leak discussions.
With people asking for a new hint since Pokemon Presents is so close, Ball Guy posted the original Japanese games, with Blastoise and Venusaur on the covers: Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Green.
For a while now, rumors have circulated about some kind of collection or re-release of older Pokemon games. Many expected that to happen last year. What this tease suggests is that a new collection could be on the way that includes the older titles.
Pokemon Green never truly released in the United States, unless Pokemon LeafGreen is counted, which was a remake.
There is always a chance of full remakes, and the Switch 2 would not be a bad platform for a deeper, more graphically advanced version of the originals. However, the Switch already received a Kanto remake with Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, and many fans enjoyed those games. Because of that, a brand-new remake this early in the Switch 2 cycle would be surprising.
That is why the collection idea feels more likely, especially since it has been a long time since older Pokemon titles were easily accessible. In the past, some older games were available on platforms like the Nintendo DS. For many newer fans today, emulation has become one of the only affordable ways to play those classics, which is why an official collection would make a lot of sense.
More leaks and rumors are expected as the 30th anniversary gets closer. It would not be surprising if teasing ramps up even further, potentially even hinting at what could appear in a trailer. For anyone trying to avoid spoilers, the next few weeks will likely be a time to stay extra cautious.
