For longtime competitive Pokémon players, EVs and IVs have been labors of love towards perfecting our Pokémon’s stats. This is undergoing a massive change in Pokémon Champions, including the removal of IVs altogether.

No more IVs in Pokémon Champions

Pokémon Champions will no longer have IV’s, and will instead just have EV’s that can be adjusted on a simple slider bar. You can see this in the game’s official launch trailer.

This is not only a simplification of how trainers will go about crafting their Pokémon, but it also has massive impacts on popular competitive speed check strategies like Trick Room.
