Nidoran♂ Description

Nidoran♂ is a Poison-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 1. It is the female counterpart to Nidoran♂ and evolves into Nidorino starting at Level 16, then into Nidoking when exposed to a Moon Stone.

Competitive Overview

Is Nidoran♂ Good in Competitive?

Nidoran♂ is usually more of an early-game or Little Cup-style Pokemon than a high-level competitive pick. It has helpful abilities, Poison-type utility and a useful evolution path, but its low base stats make it difficult to use against fully evolved Pokemon.

Nidoran♂ is often most valuable as the first stage of the Nidoking line. Evolving it into Nidorino and then Nidoking gives the line much better offensive power, coverage and long-term battle value.
