This comes off the back of some very peculiar videos. We understand why people were acting oddly in the videos that the Pokemon UK account was posting. Malamar was controlling them and all of the colorful artwork they were painting or wearing was for its new form. The rainbow colors are certainly a choice but one that surely many people will enjoy.
It looks like it will be keeping its Dark and Psychic typing. Along with this, we can start speculating how its stats will be affected. As with most Mega Pokemon, Mega Malamar will have a stat that it will go deeper into. Considering its normal base stats are pretty neutral across the board, it might surprise people but it could be a bulky attacker instead of a special attacker.

Either way, Malamar joins as another of the leaked Pokemon to finally get a Mega Evolution.
It felt like maybe the every Thursday reveals was not going to happen. Then Pokemon used a different method of revealing this time with a bunch of shorts that they combined into one video.
The question becomes, which Pokemon are next? There are still plenty to choose from, according to the leaks, and only a few more Thursdays left before Pokemon Legends Z-A releases. It will be worth checking and seeing which ones are officially revealed each week as we inch closer to our first new Pokemon game in nearly three years.
