
In Pokémon Pokopia, you play as a Ditto and build an island from the ground up, and cultivate a community for all kinds of Pokémon. Without a doubt alot of work will have to be invested to have an island to be truly proud of, but do you have to do it alone? From growing crops to gathering and crafting materials, can it all be possible with a coop partner with Pokémon Pokopia multiplayer?

First off Pokemon Pokopia will, in fact, include a multiplayer mode. What makes the multiplayer in this game more unique than other titles is that it allows for the use of Gameshare. This means that even if players don’t own an actual copy of Pokopia, they can still be invited by friends to visit islands. Of course, both players will need to have a Nintendo Switch Online Membership. If you don’t have an online membership, the Pokopia will additionaly will have a local multiplayer mode. Even locally, the visitor will still be able to customize the environment, craft materials, and more.
Playing as a visitor in Pokopia
In this scenario, if your friend sends you an invite to their island your now marked as that island’s visitor. As a visitor, you bring along one Pokemon from your main island. Whehther its your favorite or it has a useful ability attached to it, this is your one pokemon.
Currently, only 3 new Pokémon have been confirmed for when this title launches on March 5th, 2026. While they’re only different variations, here are the three new Pokémon making their debut in Pokopia

“A pale Pikachu whose fur is a mysterious color. Its drooping ears somehow make it seem a little feeble.”

“Moss has grown all over this Snorlax’s body, and it looks like a flower is blooming atop its head. It must have been asleep for a really long time…”

“A Smeargle with vibrant colors splattered across its body, it goes by the name Smearguru. When it uses its tail as a brush, it almost looks like a painter!”
