If you’re looking to optimize your team in Pokémon Champions, changing stats is one of the core systems you’ll be using—and it’s actually very straightforward once you understand how VP works.

In Pokémon Champions, stats are handled through a new Stat Point system, and every adjustment costs VP, which you earn from playing games. According to what we have seen from recent early access reviews, fully building a stat spread from scratch can cost 100+ VP total, depending on how many points you need to allocate.
Stat changes are relatively cheap compared to other systems in the game, like recruiting Pokémon or swapping Abilities or Natures, which can cost nearly 5x that of fully changing stats.
Because of that, you’re encouraged to experiment, but only so much. You can tweak spreads between matches, adjust for specific matchups, and refine your team’s stats without a huge VP investment.

Overall, changing stats is one of the most accessible parts of team building in Pokémon Champions, and it’s clearly designed to let players iterate quickly rather than commit long-term to one setup.
