Hoppip is a small Grass and Flying-type Pokemon known as the Cottonweed Pokemon. It drifts on the wind, appears in many grassy routes and evolves into Skiploom before becoming Jumpluff.
Competitive Overview
Hoppip is usually not a strong standalone competitive Pokemon because it has very low base stats and is the first stage of its evolution line. It is best treated as a support or early-game Pokemon rather than a major offensive threat.
Hoppip can still use helpful support moves like Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Leech Seed and Tailwind in formats where it is available. Its Grass and Flying typing gives it a Ground immunity, but it must be careful around Ice, Fire, Flying, Poison and Rock-type attacks.

Doubles Hoppip’s Speed in harsh sunlight. This can help Hoppip move first and use support moves more reliably on sun teams.
Protects Hoppip from status conditions while harsh sunlight is active. This can help it avoid burns, paralysis, poison and sleep under sun.
Lets Hoppip bypass effects like Substitute, Reflect and Light Screen. This can make its support and attacking moves harder to block.
Hoppip evolves into Skiploom, which then evolves into Jumpluff. The full Hoppip evolution line is Hoppip, Skiploom and Jumpluff.
