We are heading into a new era for the Pokemon Trading Card Game. For the first time in quite a while, Pokemon’s card game will not be connected to a game. This time it will be connected to Mega Pokemon. See what we know so far about the Pokemon TCG Mega Evolution Card List.
Below is the full Pokemon TCG Mega Evolution Card List so far.
The expected Pokemon TCG Mega Evolution Release Date will be on September 26, 2025.
This lines up nearly perfectly with the return of Mega Pokemon in the next game. Pokemon Legends Z-A will have new Mega Evolutions, or at least those have been the rumors and leaks thus far. There have been some rumors saying as few as eight new Mega Evolutions, while others have claimed closer to 26. Either way, fans should be excited for new ones as it has been nearly a decade since the last ones were released.

Pokemon has decided to add new cards in the form of Mega EX cards.
These Pokemon will be extremely strong, both with massive HP amounts and extremely tough damaging abilities. To combat this, though, they are making each one worth 3 prize cards should they be defeated. This will be the first time that this has happened and will change the meta extensively.
So far, there have been four Mega EX Pokemon revealed. Venusaur, Latias, Lucario and Gardevoir have all been shown and to say they look strong would be an understatement. It will be interesting to see how players counter these new cards and how the meta will shift once they have found their way into the competitive scene.
