Electrike is a small Electric-type Pokemon that stores electricity in its fur. It uses that stored electricity to stimulate its leg muscles, giving it quick acceleration and a crackling static charge when it runs.
Electrike is usually used as an early-stage Electric-type option or a pre-evolution for Manectric. Its Speed and Special Attack are its best natural stats, while Static, Lightning Rod and Minus give it utility in different formats. In most full competitive settings, Electrike is outclassed by its evolution, but it can still use Electric pressure, pivoting moves and speed control in limited formats.
| Move | Type | Why It Helps |
|---|---|---|
| Thunderbolt | Electric | Reliable special Electric damage with strong accuracy. |
| Volt Switch | Electric | Lets Electrike deal damage and pivot into a teammate. |
| Wild Charge | Electric | Physical Electric option for mixed or physical sets. |
| Thunder Wave | Electric | Provides speed control and team support. |
| Thunder Fang | Electric | Physical Electric coverage with flinch and paralysis chances in many games. |
| Discharge | Electric | Useful Electric STAB with a paralysis chance. |
| Snarl | Dark | Provides utility by lowering opposing Special Attack. |
| Flamethrower | Fire | Gives Electrike coverage against certain Grass and Steel-type Pokemon when available. |
