Dottler Description

Dottler is a Bug and Psychic-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 8. It evolves from Blipbug and later evolves into Orbeetle, carrying the line from a small early-route Bug Pokemon into a defensive psychic attacker.

Competitive Overview

Is Dottler Good in Competitive?

Dottler is usually used as a middle evolution rather than a final competitive pick, but it has useful defensive stats and support options for story play and lower-power formats.

Dottler’s biggest strengths are its Defense, Special Defense, Bug and Psychic typing and access to support moves. Its biggest issues are low Speed, limited offense and the need to evolve into Orbeetle for stronger overall performance.
