The world of VGC or Competitive Pokemon is changing dramatically in 2026. Some argue for the better, others are worried. Pokemon Champions is bringing with it a lot of changes, but will it Connect to Pokemon Home so you can use your own Pokemon?
The quick answer is that yes, Pokemon Champions will work and connect with Pokemon Home. You can see this in the image from the main Pokemon Champions website below.

As of now it looks like you will be able to use Pokemon from Pokemon GO, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Pokemon Legends Z-A and likely Pokemon from Gen 10.
This is why they put the “And other titles in the Pokemon Series”. Knowing Pokemon, there’s very little chance they will allow Pokemon that are backdated too far. Most likely it will be limited to Nintendo Switch Pokemon games from Pokemon Sword and Shield and onward.
This is a major question and one that we have been looking at for some time. There is one statement from Pokemon on this.
“These transferrable Pokémon will be limited to those that appear in Pokémon Champions.”
In case it is not clear, that does seem to mean that The Pokemon Company may be controlling the meta. At least initially. This would make sense to help keep the game and VGC fresh. They already do this but some strategies with items like Eviolite may be in trouble.
What we mean by this is that Pokemon below a certain Base Stat or even evolution level may be left out. This is partially speculation but it feels unlikely that you will see a Weedle available in Pokemon Champions anytime soon.
