Dewott is the middle evolution of Oshawott and the pre-evolution of Samurott. It is a Water-type Pokemon known for fighting with two scalchops and training carefully to improve its blade techniques.
Competitive Overview
Dewott is usually more important as an evolution step than as a final competitive Pokemon. It has balanced attacking stats, decent Speed for a middle-stage Pokemon and access to useful Water-type attacks, but it is generally outclassed by fully evolved Water-type Pokemon.
Dewott’s biggest strengths are its Water typing, Torrent ability and access to moves such as Razor Shell, Aqua Jet and Swords Dance in some games. Its biggest issue is that Samurott usually provides better stats and more complete offensive pressure.
