Pokemon has finally started to evolve and modernize. With the next Generation, many expect big improvements. But could we see a big one that fans have been waiting for years to get added? The latest 4chan leaks claim that Voice Acting could be coming to Pokemon with Gen 10 or Wind and Wave.
The rumor’s headline detail is voice acting. It claims voice acting was incomplete, and that Angelie had the voice of a Japanese man.
Voice acting in Pokemon would be great, but it would have to be done well. If it is not done well, it is going to be a big turnoff. It is not that voice acting is not wanted, it just needs to feel right and be convincing.
There is also the writing side of it. Pokemon writing has been average at best most of the time, with Black and White and Black and White 2 being a slight exception.
The rumor says the story begins in Denaui, the main capital city in the Serika region. The player is invited by a tour company called Toruriko, which also manages a resort on Terba Island.
A tour guide named Professor Areca is introduced. He is described as a tour guide first, but also someone who documents nature on the side.
Starting in the capital city feels odd compared to what has been associated with the Tera Leaks, which point toward the story starting at a resort before moving toward the main city later.
Some of the naming also feels off. Serika does not feel very Pokemon. Terba and Toruriko sound more on-brand, but a “Professor” whose main job is tour guiding and who only documents nature as a side activity still comes across as strange.

The rumor claims the Toruriko package includes a Rotom and a special backpack. This backpack supposedly lets the player use any Pokemon throughout the region.
It also describes a Synchro Machine-style mechanic where the player gets attached behind the Pokemon and follows it directly. The idea lines up with the possibility that previous mechanics were testing grounds for future games, and a feature like this would not be surprising to see in Wind and Wave.
A woman from a nearby island village is said to hear whispers of the legendary Pokemon. Her name is Sharon.
The name feels very basic for Pokemon, but the rumor positions Sharon as a co-mentor, similar to the mentor structure in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
The main rival is named Angelie. She lives on Turba Island and is said to know most of Serika. There have been rumors about an angel-themed Pokemon or concept, so a rival name like Angelie could fit that direction.
According to the rumor, after receiving the starters, the player meets a wild and weak Charizard. This encounter is said to introduce the game’s main gimmick.
Pokemon does repeat itself a lot, and this kind of “weak powerful Pokemon” opener would feel similar to previous setups. If this is real, it would be a very familiar beat.
The backpack is also said to have a crafting menu with Game Boy Advance-like music.
The rumor also claims seamless battling similar to Z-A, but still turn-based. That is where things start to feel shaky, because the series has already used turn-based systems even when battles look more seamless in presentation.
It also claims Pokemon can chase the player down, which has already been present in recent games, so that part is not a major standout on its own.
The rumor describes the head of the resort subsidiary of Toruriko as version-dependent: a man in Wind and a woman in Wave. They are widows, and it is implied that their spouse was killed by a Pokemon. This character is framed as the main antagonist.
It also claims the antagonist has a son named Ralph, who is one of the rivals and “looks emo.”
Other claims include:
Toby Fox will not return for the OST
Pikachu looks like the leaked redesign, but with smaller eyes
The rumor says the gimmick allows the use of moves similar to rogue Megas in Z-A, and it describes it as chaotic in free-roam multiplayer raids where players are dodging these effects.
That sounds cool in theory, especially with how moves have been changing and evolving, but it does not match what has been associated with the Terror Leaks, which have made it sound more like a direct buff system where Pokemon get stronger in some way, rather than the gimmick being built around moves becoming wild AoE effects.
The rumor includes a specific release date: November 19th, 2026.
That date is a Thursday, which could make sense, but it also feels very late compared to recent Pokemon releases, which tend to land earlier in November or even October.
Overall, the rumor still feels fake, mostly because the names are strange, and what has been associated with the Terror Leaks sounds different from what this is claiming.
At the same time, there are a few ideas here that are interesting, even if the details do not add up cleanly.
