Pokedex Navigation
Carvanha is a Water and Dark-type Pokemon known as the Savage Pokemon. It attacks in groups, uses powerful jaws and sharp fangs to tear through obstacles and evolves into Sharpedo starting at level 30.
Carvanha is an aggressive physical attacker with strong Water and Dark-type coverage, but very low defenses. Rough Skin can punish contact moves, while Speed Boost gives Carvanha a way to snowball late-game in formats where it is available. It usually wants to attack quickly with moves like Crunch, Liquidation, Aqua Jet and Psychic Fangs before opponents can exploit its frailty.
Dark
Reliable physical Dark-type damage and one of Carvanha’s best STAB attacks.
Water
Strong physical Water-type coverage with a chance to lower the target’s Defense.
Water
Priority Water-type damage that helps Carvanha finish weakened faster opponents.
Water
Lets Carvanha deal damage and pivot into a teammate while keeping momentum.
Psychic
Covers Fighting and Poison-type targets while also breaking certain screen effects in supported games.
Ice
Useful coverage against Grass, Flying, Dragon and Ground-type Pokemon.
Normal
Pairs well with Speed Boost in games where Carvanha has access to that ability.
Ghost
Can punish opponents that knock out Carvanha after it has created enough speed pressure.
