The brand new pokemon entry for Pokemon Unite revealed in the recent Pokemon Presents. In the celebration for the 26th anniversary, Pokemon Unite Duraludon was announced. For those who don’t know, Duraludon is a Steal/Dragon type pokemon with strong special attack scaling. Since the list of pokemon before showed an attacker as the next entry, Duraludon may realistically be special attack attacker. But what is the Pokemon Unite Duraludon release date?

Speculation

As of now, there is no official release date for Duraludon. In the little teaser trailer, the director made absolutely sure to keep it ambiguous. She keeps saying things such as, in the future, for the future. But she also stated that it’s the next addition to Pokemon Unite.

“Enjoy a preview of the next pokemon slated to join Pokemon Unite in the future.” 

Though the exact date remains unannounced, releases for Pokemon are almost always at least two weeks apart. Therefore, expect Pokemon Unite Duraludon release date to land sometime in the middle of March. But keep in mind, this is purely speculation based off of preexisting trends set by Pokemon Unite.

From the looks of the trailer, which only showed very short snipbits of two moves, the development for the pokemon isn’t completely finished yet. This means that the pokemon won’t come out in the next week for sure. Otherwise, they would have wanted to show more off. What’s highly likely is that they took the presentable parts of what was ready, in order to have something to show for the Pokemon Direct 2022.

From the given information in the trailer, it’s a little difficult to perfectly predict the Pokemon Unite Duraludon release date. But since it’s stated to be the next pokemon, it can’t be all too long until it drops. For those who don’t know, Duraludon does not have any preevolution or post evolution forms. Therefore expect Duraludon to begin quite strong in the early game, as all no evolution pokemon are in Pokemon Unite.

In addition, pokemon’s base stats boast a high special attack. Therefore, it’s a logical conclusion that the pokemon will scale with special attack in Pokemon Unite as well. It’s surprising, but Pokemon Unite stays rather loyal to the scaling of its main line series and stats.
