Analysis
There are currently two options of earning Espeon in the game. The first is to just go with the shortcut, opting to purchase the pokemon in the shop. As for the other, players would have to complete event missions then acquire the mission points. But one thing to consider for this option is that players will not be able to play the pokemon on day one. In fact, it would likely take just about a week of consistent, daily playing to acquire the pokemon.
When asking whether or not Pokemon Unite Espeon is worth it, players must consider what they want out of a given pokemon. Since this particular pokemon requires real life currency, analysis of how much it costs is necessary. Well, the pokemon costs just above 400 Aoes Gems. That’s just about $5, give or take. There are bundles with Aoes Gem transactions, so it’s hard to convert to a specific dollar figure.

To be honest, it’s a solid A tier pokemon. In essence, there are better pokemon that perform its particular job more effectively currently in the meta. But it’s not bad. S tier would be the highest rank for a given pokemon. It’s early levels are very weak, lacking consistent damage and survivability to contest key objectives. Therefore, it’d play much better with other pokemon that can either front line alongside lock down the enemy.
Once Eevee reaches level 4, it evolves into Espeon. It’s evolution power spike isn’t as powerful as one would assume. Rather, the biggest powerspike Espeon goes through is at level 8, when it acquires its Unite Move. Pokemon Unite Espeon’s Unite Move is easily the best asset in its kit, thanks to hits high recharge rate and utility.
For those who don’t know, Espeon stuns all enemies nearby its effective radius. Then, it knocks them back and deals pretty strong damage. In regards to its counterparts, Espeon plays relatively similar to Pikachu and Gardevoir. But if directly comparing to Pikachu, Pikachu definitely seems stronger than Espeon in the current meta.
In Conclusion
Honestly, the writer only bought the Pokemon to write and create content. For others, who are wondering ‘Is Pokemon Unite Espeon worth it,” chances are, it’s not. Just play Pikachu, who has been given for free on multiple ocassions, or patiently play through the event to acquire the pokemon for free later down the line. There’s really no rush for non-content creators, and thereby no real reason to warrant the real life transaction to acquire the pokemon. That is, unless players just really love Espeon.
