First of all, Hoopa requires players to acquire 50 total donuts. But how do players acquire donuts? Each day provides new missions. Accomplish those missions to acquire ingredients. And use those ingredients to bake donuts. The maximum amount of total donuts creatable through this is 10. This assumes players accomplish every mission available to them. There is one unique special mission for the day, and 3 routine daily missions. Special missions swap out each day, while Daily Missions cumulatively require players to participate in 5 battles. Therefore, assuming players unlock Hoopa as a special event reward, it’ll take them 5 days minimum. Of course, they’ll have to finish every available mission to do so.

But how have players already unlocked Hoopa?

Although the writer for this article didn’t unlock Hoopa yet either, many other players already have. The only other way to use Hoopa currently is through the limited time trial card for the pokemon, which is handed to players for free when updating the game.

The event ends in 16 days. Can players unlock Hoopa after the event ends?

Though it isn’t confirmed, the answer is yes for this. Back when Tsareena first released, the same question rang in player’s minds. But even after the event ended, the game provided the pokemon as a simple log in bonus for returning players. One thing Pokemon Unite doesn’t do is lock playable pokemon behind time based event rewards. It may be the initial method of unlocking said pokemon, but there’s no way the developers will make this the only chance to unlock Hoopa.
