Hello, trainers. Hope everyone is doing well today. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are on their way and the community is radiating with excitement. Sinnoh has many fan-favorite Pokemon and some of them such as Garchomp and Lucario are already in the game. And as Pokemon UNITE is an ever-expanding MOBA, this piece will cover five potential Pokemon UNITE picks from Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
The article will give the pick, along with what role they’d potentially be and why.
Generation Four’s fire/fighting starter is one that could work great in the UNITE meta. Sporting good stats, this Pokemon could be a melee attacker or an All-Rounder. For moves, Flame Wheel and Fire Punch could make for suitable attacks. Other moves could be bulk up to increase the amount of damage done per attack. Overall, this could be one of the best addition to the fire starter crew on the roster. This pick could work well in bottom lame. And any fan of the anime and games could say that Infernape needs more love.
Another strong contender for addition to the roster is Sinnoh’s grass starter. This one would be a good ranged attacker with moves like leaf storm and synthesis. This could be an outlier to most attacker trends as Torterra could have more endurance than most of its class, however, its offensive capabilities could be useful for many situations. Torterra can be used for the top lane.
However, going off of Torterra’s endurance, it could also be a good defender candidate. Moves like synthesis could help Torterra tank attacks longer, giving ranged attackers breathing room to take out enemies.
This pick could be a surprising addition to the roster of speedsters available. Honchkrow can specialize in speed with moves focused on damage and movement. For example, Tailwind can be used to increase the speed Honchkrow deals attacks at. Honchkrow can also use Night Slash in a way that Absol does. This speedster choice should be used for central.
One of the best tanks in the gen 4 meta could be one of the best new defenders in UNITE. Bronzong’s iron defense can help it sponge hits for squishier allies, along with other psychic-related moves to disable and stall enemies. An ability devs could give Bronzong is Heatproof, which would help lessen damage from high-tier picks like Cinderace and other fire typed threats. It could be used in the top lane.
Lastly, a good option for the support class could be Porygon Z. Porygon Z could use room and screen moves to affect the speed of opponents. Trick Room could also make slower defenders like Blastoise stronger and able to deal combos faster. Porygon could also use moves like Tri-Attack to potentially deal one of three status effects to make compiling damage easier for All-Rounders. Porygon Z could be used for bottom lanes.
Pokemon UNITE is a MOBA with an ever-expanding roster. And with BDSP reawakening people’s love for Sinnoh, it would be a shame for UNITE developers to not bring some Pokemon from the game into the lanes. This has just been pure speculation, but fans could only home that any of these 5 potential picks or others get into Pokemon UNITE. Continue having fun on the lanes, players.
