How to Build Habitats

Building Habitats in Pokemon Pokopia is generally straight-forward but, there are some things the game does not tell you.

The first is that a Habitat is created when you place the required materials or items within a small radius of each other. Usually a 4×4 grid at least. Once the correct items are placed together, you will see a shining effect and Professor Tangrowth will tell you that the Habitat is completed.

Also, you need to note that some of the Habitats will need to be near certain things, like bodies of water or elevated above the ground level.

You will only need to build each Habitat once and do not forget that the weather and day/night cycle will change, which Pokemon are available.

Environmental Levels

Environmental Levels are extremely important to unlocking new biomes. You can find these at the PC next to the Pokemon Center.

To be able to up your Environmental Level, you need to:

  • Complete the Habitats that are available to you.
  • Talk to your Pokemon who live there.
    • They will ask for certain things they would like, such as furniture, housing and more.

Pro Tips for Rare Spawns

You will see that some of the Habitats have Pokemon that are unknown and have two or three stars next to them. These are the rarer Pokemon and ones that are generally harder to obtain.

Even with the perfect habitat, some Pokémon are harder to find than others. Here is how to increase your chances:

  • Check the Clock: Some Pokémon, like Hoothoot and Umbreon, will only appear in their habitats during the night.

  • Weather Charms: Using items like the Rain Dance Site will significantly increase the spawn rate of Water and Dragon types.

  • Comfort Level: Adding a Naptime Bed or a Food Bowl to an existing habitat can sometimes attract “evolved” versions of the Pokémon listed in our table.

Pokémon Pokopia Habitat FAQ

  • Can I have more than one of the same habitat?
    • Yes! You can build multiple “Pretty Flower Beds” to increase your chances of finding an Eevee.
  • Why isn’t my habitat working?
    • Make sure the items aren’t too far apart. If you are building an Elevated Flower Bed, ensure it is placed on a cliffside or a raised platform.
  • Do habitats ever expire?
    • No, once built, the habitat remains active as long as the items stay in place.
  • Why aren’t Pokemon Spawning even after building the Habitat?
    • There are a few potential reasons.
      • Check the weather and time.
      • Some spawns are Rarer than others and take more time.
      • Make sure your PP is not empty as you may need Ditto to do its abilities to maintain habitats.
