Players can capture their first Squirtle once the side mission “A Call from Mable” is completed. Trainers can choose from Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Once the mission has concluded, Squirtle’s corresponding Wild Zone will be available. Squirtle can be located in Wild Zone 20, which is found at the center of the map.
