There is only one way to Evolve Inkay in Pokemon Legends Z-A and it is the only one of its kind.
To Evolve Inkay into Malamar you have to first get Inkay to level 30. After this, you simply turn your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 upside down. Then you go into the menu and click on Inkay in your party. From there the option to evolve will be at the top.
It is important to note that if you click on Inkay before turning your Switch upside down that it will not work. Funny enough, this was the way to evolve Inkay on the Nintendo DS back when Pokemon X & Y were first released as well.
You are able to get a Malamar in Wild Zone 20 as well but you will not be able to get it before you get into the post-game content. Inkay on the other hand you can easily get in Wild Zone 11 and in The Sewers beneath Lumoise City.
These are the different ways for you to evolve Inkay and get yourself a Malamar for your team.
