Best Sharpedo Builds in Pokemon Champions

Sharpedo has two main builds in Pokemon Champions. The Speed Boost attacker is the safest option, while the Mega build gives Sharpedo stronger physical pressure.

Build 1: Speed Boost Cleaner

This is the main Sharpedo build. It uses Protect to gain Speed Boost and then pressures weakened teams with Water and Dark-type attacks.

Item Life Orb or Focus Sash
Ability Speed Boost
Nature Adamant, +Attack and -Sp. Atk
Moves Liquidation, Crunch, Ice Fang, Protect
Stat Point Spread Attack: 32 / Sp. Def: 4 / Speed: 28

Build 2: Mega Sharpedo Physical Attacker

This version uses Mega Evolution after gaining Speed Boost. It works best when Sharpedo can clean late-game.

Item Sharpedonite
Ability Strong Jaw after Mega Evolution
Nature Jolly, +Speed and -Sp. Atk
Moves Crunch, Liquidation, Psychic Fangs, Protect
Stat Point Spread Attack: 32 / Sp. Def: 4 / Speed: 28

Best Items for Sharpedo

Life Orb is the best item for non-Mega damage because Sharpedo needs to secure knockouts quickly.

Sharpedonite is the best item for the Mega build because Strong Jaw improves Sharpedo’s biting moves.

Best Pokemon to Pair with Sharpedo

Sharpedo works best with Pokemon that cover its weaknesses, support its preferred speed control or help it find safer turns.

Pelipper

Sets rain and boosts Sharpedo’s Water-type pressure.

Gardevoir

Pressures Fighting and Dragon-type Pokemon that can threaten Sharpedo.

Metagross

Covers Fairy-type Pokemon and adds strong physical pressure.

What Sharpedo Is Good Against

Sharpedo is strong against Fire, Rock, Ground, Psychic and Ghost-type Pokemon. Speed Boost lets it outspeed many threats after one turn.

Crunch and Liquidation give Sharpedo strong neutral pressure once bulky Water resists are weakened.

Potential Counters for Sharpedo

Sharpedo is threatened by Electric, Grass, Fighting, Bug and Fairy-type attacks. It is also very frail and often needs Protect or Focus Sash to function.

Azumarill

Threatens Sharpedo with Fairy-type damage and resists Dark-type attacks.

Sceptile

Can pressure Sharpedo with fast Grass-type attacks.

Manectric

Threatens Sharpedo with Electric-type damage.
