Sceptile is best used as a fast special attacker in Pokemon Champions. Its strongest builds focus on Speed, Grass-type pressure and flexible coverage.

Sceptile has two main builds in Pokemon Champions. The Focus Sash special attacker is the safest option, while the Mega build gives Sceptile stronger offensive pressure.
This is the main Sceptile build. It uses high Speed and Focus Sash to pressure Water, Ground and Rock-type Pokemon before going down.
| Item | Focus Sash |

| Ability | Overgrow |
| Nature | Timid, +Speed and -Attack |
| Moves | Leaf Storm, Dragon Pulse, Focus Blast, Protect |
| Stat Point Spread | Sp. Atk: 32 / Sp. Def: 4 / Speed: 28 |
This version uses Mega Evolution to become faster and gain Dragon-type pressure. It works best when the team needs a fast cleaner.

| Nature | Timid, +Speed and -Attack |
| Moves | Leaf Storm, Dragon Pulse, Hidden Power Fire, Protect |

Sceptile stats are shown below for easy comparison.
Focus Sash is the safest item because Sceptile is fast but fragile.
Sceptilite is the best item for the Mega build because it adds Speed, special damage and Lightning Rod utility.
Sceptile works best with Pokemon that cover its weaknesses, support its preferred speed control or help it find safer turns.
Sceptile is strong against Water, Ground and Rock-type Pokemon. Its Speed lets it pressure many offensive threats before they can move.
Mega Sceptile’s Lightning Rod can also protect Water and Flying-type teammates from Electric attacks.
Sceptile is threatened by Fire, Ice, Flying, Bug and Poison-type damage. It also struggles into bulky Steel-type Pokemon without coverage.
Sceptile can learn Grass, Dragon, Fighting, Normal and coverage moves across different Pokemon games. Use the section below to view the full move list by learn method.
