There were 15 new Megas added with Regulation M-B in Pokemon Champions, and while some have already become major parts of the meta, there are a few that feel like they are being slept on.

Pokemon like Mega Staraptor, Mega Swampert, the Mega Raichu forms and Mega Metagross are already getting a lot of attention. Even Mega Mawile has been showing up more than expected. But there are three new Mega Pokemon that look like they should be used more often than they are right now.
Here are three underrated Mega Pokemon in Pokemon Champions Regulation M-B and why they could rise as the meta continues to develop.

Stop Ignoring These 3 Mega Pokemon in Pokemon Champions M-B
The first underrated Mega Pokemon is Mega Scrafty.
Mega Scrafty has a really good movepool and brings a lot of useful tools to a team. It is another strong Fake Out Pokemon, which is always valuable in doubles. It also has access to Close Combat, Knock Off, Detect, Rock Slide and Throat Chop, giving it a lot of different options depending on what a team needs.
The biggest reason Mega Scrafty stands out is Intimidate.
When Scrafty Mega Evolves, it can get another Intimidate off, which means it has the ability to put out double Intimidate pressure. In a meta with a lot of strong physical attackers, that can be extremely useful.
Obviously, players need to be careful using Intimidate into Pokemon like Mega Staraptor because of Contrary. But against many other physical attackers, Mega Scrafty can completely disrupt an opponent’s game plan.
Mega Scrafty also has very strong natural bulk. With great defensive stats and a strong Attack stat, it can be built as a bulky physical attacker that also provides Fake Out support. That combination makes it much more useful than its current usage might suggest.
Its biggest problem is Speed. Mega Scrafty is not fast, and that can make some matchups harder. But with the natural bulk, Fake Out opportunities and Intimidate pressure, it feels like a Pokemon that should be getting more attention in Regulation M-B.
The second underrated Mega Pokemon is Mega Dragalge.
Mega Dragalge is a Pokemon that has already shown a lot of potential. It can be built in multiple ways, but what really stands out is how strong its stats become after Mega Evolving.
It is naturally bulky, has very strong Special Defense and can hit hard with its Special Attack. Its HP and Speed are not amazing, but that actually makes it a strong option on Trick Room teams.
When built correctly, Mega Dragalge can take a lot more hits than players may expect. It can be statted to improve its Defense while still keeping enough Special Attack to threaten a lot of Pokemon. With moves like Thunderbolt, Sludge Bomb, Dragon Pulse and Protect, it can give teams a strong bulky special attacker that is difficult to remove.
One of the most interesting parts of Dragalge is how many different directions players can go with it. It can be used with Adaptability for extra damage on Dragon and Poison moves, or it can take advantage of its Mega Ability, Regenerator, to become even harder to wear down.
Adaptability Sludge Bomb and Dragon Pulse can be very strong into a lot of the meta, especially into Pokemon like Mega Floette and even some Mega Sceptile situations. It can also run moves like Toxic, Flip Turn or Draco Meteor depending on the team.
With Regenerator, Mega Dragalge can be used more like a tank. It can switch in, take hits, spread status and come back later with more health. That makes it a really interesting option for teams that want something bulky, flexible and annoying to remove.
Mega Dragalge may not look flashy at first, but it can hit hard, take a beating and fit into several different types of teams. That is why it feels much better than people are giving it credit for right now.
The third underrated Mega Pokemon is Mega Malamar.
Mega Malamar is very interesting because its stats are more flexible than some players may realize. It has a higher Attack than Special Attack, solid natural bulk and a very middle-of-the-road Speed stat. That means it can adapt to a lot of different situations.
The main reason people should be looking at Mega Malamar is Contrary.
Contrary has already been one of the biggest talking points of Regulation M-B because of Mega Staraptor. Mega Malamar also has access to Contrary, and it can use that ability in some really strong ways.
Superpower is the obvious move that stands out. Instead of lowering Malamar’s Attack and Defense, Contrary turns those drops into boosts. That means Mega Malamar can attack while making itself stronger and bulkier at the same time.
It also has access to moves like Psycho Cut, Trick Room, Topsy-Turvy and Skill Swap. That gives it a lot of flexibility as an attacker, support Pokemon or disruption tool.
Skill Swap is especially interesting. If a player wants to take Contrary away from another Pokemon, like Mega Staraptor, Malamar can potentially use Skill Swap before Mega Evolving, then Mega Evolve and get Contrary back for itself. That type of strategy gives Mega Malamar some unique options that other Pokemon do not have.
Mega Malamar can also be played in different speed modes. Its Speed is right in the middle, so it can work in Trick Room or with Tailwind support depending on how the team is built.
That flexibility is what makes Mega Malamar so interesting. It may not be the best statted Pokemon in the format, but it can do a lot of different things and could become one of the bigger risers as the Regulation M-B meta continues to evolve.
The main reason these three Pokemon are being overlooked is that the top Megas are so obvious right now.
Mega Staraptor has a very clear and powerful Contrary strategy. Mega Swampert is easy to understand with its strong stats and weather potential. Mega Metagross is already a proven strong Pokemon. The Mega Raichu forms bring speed, Electric Terrain and useful support.
Because of that, Pokemon like Mega Scrafty, Mega Dragalge and Mega Malamar may take a little longer to catch on.
They are not always as simple to use, but they offer a lot of value. Mega Scrafty brings Fake Out and Intimidate pressure. Mega Dragalge brings bulk, strong special attacks and Regenerator options. Mega Malamar brings Contrary, Skill Swap, Trick Room and a lot of flexibility.
These are the kinds of Pokemon that can rise once players start experimenting more and finding the right team structures around them.
There are a few other new Megas that could also end up being better than their early usage suggests.
Mega Scolipede, Mega Barbaracle, Mega Falinks, Mega Pyroar and Mega Eelektross are all worth watching as players continue to figure out Regulation M-B.
Some of these Pokemon may need more specific team support, while others may just need more time for players to find the best builds. Either way, the new Mega Pokemon pool looks like it has more depth than just the most popular picks at the top.
Mega Scrafty, Mega Dragalge and Mega Malamar all look like underrated options in Pokemon Champions Regulation M-B.
Mega Scrafty has Fake Out, Knock Off, strong bulk and double Intimidate potential. Mega Dragalge can be a bulky special attacker or a Regenerator tank. Mega Malamar has Contrary, Superpower, Skill Swap and enough flexibility to fit into several different strategies.
All three of these Pokemon may not be dominating usage yet, but they have the tools to become much more important as the meta develops.
