Pokemon Champions Build Guide
Infernape is best used as a fast mixed attacker and support Pokemon in Pokemon Champions. Its strongest builds focus on Fire and Fighting-type pressure, Fake Out and flexible coverage.

Last Updated: Regulation M-2
Page Status: This Infernape build guide will be updated when new Pokemon Champions regulations, items, buffs or nerfs change its best set.
Infernape has two main builds in Pokemon Champions. The Focus Sash mixed attacker is the safest option, while the Life Orb attacker gives it more damage.
This is the main Infernape build. It uses Focus Sash to survive one hit while applying Fire and Fighting-type pressure with Fake Out support.
| Item | Focus Sash |
|---|---|
| Ability | Blaze |
| Nature | Naive, +Speed and -Sp. Def |
| Moves | Fake Out, Close Combat, Heat Wave, Protect |
| Stat Point Spread | Attack: 18 / Sp. Atk: 20 / Speed: 24 |
This version gives Infernape more immediate damage. Use it when the team can protect Infernape from faster attackers and priority.
| Item | Life Orb |
|---|---|
| Ability | Iron Fist or Blaze |
| Nature | Naive, +Speed and -Sp. Def |
| Moves | Flare Blitz, Close Combat, Thunder Punch, Protect |
| Stat Point Spread | Attack: 30 / Sp. Atk: 4 / Speed: 28 |
Infernape stats are shown below for easy comparison.
Focus Sash is the safest item because Infernape is fast but fragile.
Life Orb is the best damage item when Infernape needs to secure knockouts quickly.
Infernape works best with Pokemon that cover its weaknesses, support its preferred speed control or help it find safer turns.
Infernape is strong against Grass, Ice, Steel, Bug, Normal, Rock and Dark-type Pokemon. Fake Out also gives it useful tempo control.
Its mixed attacking options make Infernape harder to wall than many single-role attackers.
Infernape is threatened by Water, Ground, Flying and Psychic-type attacks. It is also fragile and often relies on Focus Sash.
Infernape can learn Fire, Fighting, Electric, Grass, Rock and support moves across different Pokemon games. Use the section below to view the full move list by learn method.
