Best Infernape Builds in Pokemon Champions

Infernape has two main builds in Pokemon Champions. The Focus Sash mixed attacker is the safest option, while the Life Orb attacker gives it more damage.

Build 1: Focus Sash Mixed Attacker

This is the main Infernape build. It uses Focus Sash to survive one hit while applying Fire and Fighting-type pressure with Fake Out support.

Best Items for Infernape

Focus Sash is the safest item because Infernape is fast but fragile.

Life Orb is the best damage item when Infernape needs to secure knockouts quickly.

Best Pokemon to Pair with Infernape

Infernape works best with Pokemon that cover its weaknesses, support its preferred speed control or help it find safer turns.

Torterra

Covers Water, Ground and Electric-type matchups while Infernape handles Ice and Steel-types.

Gardevoir

Pressures Dragon and Fighting-type Pokemon while Infernape pressures Steel-types.

Staraptor

Adds Intimidate and Flying-type pressure beside Infernape.

What Infernape Is Good Against

Infernape is strong against Grass, Ice, Steel, Bug, Normal, Rock and Dark-type Pokemon. Fake Out also gives it useful tempo control.

Its mixed attacking options make Infernape harder to wall than many single-role attackers.

Potential Counters for Infernape

Infernape is threatened by Water, Ground, Flying and Psychic-type attacks. It is also fragile and often relies on Focus Sash.

Pelipper

Resists Fighting, sets rain and threatens Infernape with Water-type damage.

Swampert

Threatens Infernape with Water and Ground-type attacks.

Slowking

Takes many hits and pressures Infernape with Psychic or Water-type damage.
