Flareon has two main builds in Pokemon Champions. The Guts wallbreaker is the strongest damage option, while the bulky Fire attacker gives teams a safer defensive Fire-type.
This is the main Flareon build. It uses Flame Orb and Guts to hit extremely hard with Fire and Normal-type attacks.
| Item | Flame Orb |
|---|---|
| Ability | Guts |
| Nature | Adamant, +Attack and -Sp. Atk |
| Moves | Flare Blitz, Facade, Quick Attack, Protect |
| Stat Point Spread | HP: 16 / Attack: 32 / Sp. Def: 14 |
This version is less explosive but easier to keep alive. It works when the team needs Fire-type coverage without relying on self-status.

Sitrus Berry gives bulky sets more staying power, while Charcoal improves Fire-type damage.
Flareon works best with Pokemon that cover its weaknesses, support its preferred speed control or help it find safer turns.

Quick Attack gives Flareon a small but useful priority option for finishing weakened opponents.
Flareon is threatened by Water, Rock and Ground-type attacks. It also damages itself quickly with Flame Orb and Flare Blitz recoil.
Resists Fire-type damage and threatens Flareon with Water-type attacks.
Takes physical hits well and pressures Flareon with Water-type damage.
Walls many Fire-type attacks and threatens Flareon back.

Flareon is worth using if your team wants a hard-hitting Fire-type attacker that can punish defensive Pokemon.
The Guts build has the most power, but it needs support because recoil and burn damage can wear Flareon down quickly.
