Pokemon Champions Build Guide
Espeon is best used as a fast special attacker in Pokemon Champions. Its strongest builds focus on Psychic-type pressure, speed and support through Magic Bounce.
Espeon Form
Last Updated: Regulation M-2
Page Status: This Espeon build guide will be updated when new Pokemon Champions regulations, items, buffs or nerfs change its best set.
Espeon has two main builds in Pokemon Champions. The Focus Sash attacker is the safest option, while the support attacker build uses Magic Bounce and utility to protect offensive teams.
This is the main Espeon build. It uses Focus Sash to survive one hit and return strong Psychic-type damage.
| Item | Focus Sash |
|---|---|
| Ability | Magic Bounce |
| Nature | Timid, +Speed and -Attack |
| Moves | Psychic, Dazzling Gleam, Shadow Ball, Protect |
| Stat Point Spread | Sp. Atk: 32 / Sp. Def: 4 / Speed: 28 |
This version gives Espeon more team utility. Magic Bounce helps punish status and hazard-style disruption while Espeon still attacks quickly.
| Item | Sitrus Berry or Light Clay |
|---|---|
| Ability | Magic Bounce |
| Nature | Timid, +Speed and -Attack |
| Moves | Psychic, Helping Hand, Reflect, Protect |
| Stat Point Spread | HP: 10 / Sp. Atk: 22 / Speed: 30 |
Espeon stats are shown below for easy comparison.
Focus Sash is the safest item because Espeon is fast but fragile.
Light Clay is useful on screen-support builds, while Sitrus Berry gives Espeon a little more staying power.
Espeon works best with Pokemon that cover its weaknesses, support its preferred speed control or help it find safer turns.
Espeon is strong against Fighting and Poison-type Pokemon. Magic Bounce also makes it useful into teams that rely on status or disruption.
Dazzling Gleam and Shadow Ball give Espeon coverage into Dark, Dragon, Psychic and Ghost-type matchups.
Espeon is threatened by Bug, Ghost and Dark-type attacks. It is fragile, so priority and strong neutral hits are also dangerous.
Espeon can learn Psychic, Fairy, Ghost, Normal and support moves across different Pokemon games. Use the section below to view the full move list by learn method.
