Pokemon Champions Build Guide
Dragonite is best used as a bulky physical attacker in Pokemon Champions. Its strongest builds use Multiscale, strong coverage and priority to pressure offensive teams.

Dragonite has two main builds in Pokemon Champions. The bulky physical attacker is the safest option, while the Dragon Dance build can become a late-game sweeper.
This is the main Dragonite build. It uses Multiscale to survive big hits and return pressure with strong Dragon and Flying-type damage.

This version focuses on setting up and sweeping late. It works best when your team can remove Fairy, Ice and Rock-type threats first.

| Moves | Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw, Fire Punch, Extreme Speed |

Dragonite stats are shown below for easy comparison.
Lum Berry is the safest item because it protects Dragonite from burns, paralysis or sleep while it attacks or sets up.
Weakness Policy can turn Multiscale into a major offensive swing if Dragonite survives a super-effective hit.
Dragonite works best with Pokemon that cover its weaknesses, support its preferred speed control or help it find safer turns.
Dragonite is strong against Grass, Fighting, Bug and Fire-type Pokemon. Multiscale gives it a strong first-turn defensive advantage when it enters at full HP.
Extreme Speed lets Dragonite finish weakened targets before they can move.
Dragonite is threatened by Ice, Rock, Dragon and Fairy-type attacks. Entry damage, chip damage and status can also make Multiscale less reliable.
Threatens Dragonite with Fairy-type damage and resists Dragon-type attacks.
Pressures Dragonite with Rock-type attacks.
Can pressure Dragonite with fast special coverage after Multiscale is broken.
Dragonite can learn Dragon, Flying, Normal, Fire, Ice and coverage moves across different Pokemon games. Use the section below to view the full move list by learn method.
