Ditto is best used as a matchup-specific revenge tool in Pokemon Champions. Its strongest build focuses on copying opposing threats and turning their boosts against them.

Ditto has two main builds in Pokemon Champions. The Choice Scarf Imposter build is the standard option, while Focus Sash is a niche alternative for specific teams.
This is the main Ditto build. It copies an opposing Pokemon and uses Choice Scarf to revenge KO boosted attackers.

This version is less common. It gives Ditto a safety net when Choice Scarf is not needed, but it is usually harder to use well.

Choice Scarf is the best item because it lets Ditto outspeed many Pokemon after copying them.
Focus Sash is a niche option that can help Ditto survive one hit, but it gives up the revenge-killing value of Choice Scarf.
Ditto works best with Pokemon that cover its weaknesses, support its preferred speed control or help it find safer turns.
Ditto is strong against setup sweepers and teams that rely on one boosted attacker. It can copy stat boosts and punish opponents for overextending.
It is especially useful when the opposing team has powerful Pokemon that are also vulnerable to their own attacks.
Ditto is threatened by careful positioning, defensive teams and opponents that avoid giving it a valuable target. It is also limited by low HP after Transform.
Can limit Ditto’s impact with support and defensive play.
Can pressure Ditto before it finds the right target.
Uses Intimidate and support pressure to make Ditto less threatening.

Ditto is worth using if your team needs an emergency answer to setup sweepers and high-stat offensive threats.
It is not a normal attacker, so it works best on teams that can create the right board state before sending it in.
