Best Aerodactyl Stats, Moves, Natures, and Abilities in Pokemon Champions

Aerodactyl has found its way into the meta in a big way. It is one the top 10 fastest Pokemon in Champions, can setup tailwind and hits hard into some other strong meta Pokemon.

Here are two suggested builds.

Build 1: Dual Slide Aerodactyl

This build focuses on the more meta build with Aerodactyl getting through Sash Pokemon with Dual Wingbeat, along with Rock Slide to hit the many strong Ice, Flying and Fire Pokemon. You do still run Tailwind as well as it is one of the best Tailwind setter in Champions.

This version of Aerodactyl is more focused on getting Tailwind off early and protecting from moves like Dazzling Gleam, Earthquake, Blizzard and other multi-target moves. The Taunt can also be useful for many other support Pokemon.

• Build 1 Best Items: Focus Sash

Focus Sash is a must so that you can at least get Tailwind off or Dual Wingbeat. Using Mega Aerodactyl as a support may not make a ton of sense to some but the Def & Sp. Def boosts are great and it makes Aerodactyl the fastest Pokemon in the game, guaranteeing you get Tailwind off.

Best Pokémon Synergies to Pair with Aerodactyl in Pokémon Champions

Aerodactyl benefits from other strong Meta Pokemon. Mainly ones that can dish out damage and then the always strong Incineroar to provide some support.

• Incineroar: Provides Intimidate and positioning support. Generally considered to be the best Pokemon in the current Meta.
• Sneasler: A great offensive option to pair with Aerodactyl and one that benefits greatly from Tailwind.
• Floette: One of the better offensive Pokemon in the game is Mega Floette who also benefits quite a bit from Tailwind and the added pressure Aerodactyl provides offensively.

Potential Counters for Aerodactyl in Pokémon Champions

Aerodactyl is vulnerable to Water, Electric, Ice, Rock and Steel. It is fast and can take a punch but stronger Ice, Water and Steel types can specifically cause an issue.

• Archaludon: This Pokemon is not only fast but in rain teams, especially with Electro Shot. Along with this, the access to many steel moves and its innate bulkiness cause problems.
• Garchomp: With access to Rock Slide itself and extreme bulkiness it basically can ignore Aerodactyl.
• Basculegion: Facing one in the rain with Swift Swim and either Wave Crash or Flip Turn can make the Sash come in handy.
