Pokemon Champions Build Guide
Banette is best used as a disruptive Ghost-type support or physical attacker in Pokemon Champions. Its strongest builds focus on priority utility, Ghost-type pressure and Mega Evolution disruption.

Banette has two main builds in Pokemon Champions. The Prankster Mega support build is the strongest utility option, while the physical attacker gives Banette more direct damage.
This is the main Banette build. It uses Mega Evolution to gain Prankster and disrupt teams with priority support moves.
| Item | Banettite |
|---|---|
| Ability | Prankster after Mega Evolution |
| Nature | Adamant, +Attack and -Sp. Atk |
| Moves | Shadow Claw, Will-O-Wisp, Taunt, Protect |
| Stat Point Spread | HP: 20 / Attack: 28 / Sp. Def: 14 |
This version focuses more on attacking. It works best when Banette does not need to use the Mega slot.
| Item | Focus Sash or Spell Tag |
|---|---|
| Ability | Frisk |
| Nature | Adamant, +Attack and -Sp. Atk |
| Moves | Shadow Claw, Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Protect |
| Stat Point Spread | HP: 6 / Attack: 32 / Speed: 24 |
Banette stats are shown below for easy comparison.
Banettite is the best item for the main build because Mega Banette gains Prankster and stronger support value.
Focus Sash is the safest non-Mega item because Banette can be removed quickly by strong attacks.
Banette works best with Pokemon that cover its weaknesses, support its preferred speed control or help it find safer turns.
Banette is strong against Psychic and Ghost-type Pokemon. Prankster support gives Mega Banette strong disruption value.
Will-O-Wisp helps Banette weaken physical attackers and create safer turns for teammates.
Banette is threatened by Ghost and Dark-type attacks. It can also struggle if opponents block or ignore its disruption.
Banette can learn Ghost, Dark, Normal, Psychic and support moves across different Pokemon games. Use the section below to view the full move list by learn method.
