Rory McIlroy
McIlroy won this event in 2012 and 2014 which would give him a little bit of a leg up on the competition had he not injured himself towards the end of the 2015 season. McIlroy is back, albeit slow to start, and is playing some solid golf. If you count the missed cut at the US Open as a fluke, McIlroy has been in the top-five in 3 of his last five events and currently leads the PGA Tour in birdies. So as long as he can stay accurate off the tee and give himself good looks at birdie, McIlroy shouldn’t have any issue making a run at his third PGA Championship.
