Keegan Bradley Wins The 2023 Travelers Championship

Publish Date: June 26, 2023

Keegan Bradley put together an impressive tournament and claimed his sixth PGA Tour victory at the 2023 Travelers Championship. Despite losing steam at the end of his final round, Bradley managed to hold off the competition. His victory granted him a $3.6 million share of the purse. Bradley shot a 23-under 257 and set a new course record.

Zac Blair and Brian Harmar finished in second place after recording a 20-under 260. Blair gave his best effort in the final round, shooting an 8-under 62. Although Keegan Bradley bogeyed three of the final five holes, he was still able to outlast his competition. Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay and Chez Reavie finished in fourth place with a score of 19-under 261.

The PGA Tour shared Bradley’s celebration on Twitter.

Tournament Recap

The first round of the Travelers Championship dished out low scores and exciting moments. Denny McCarthy came out swinging as he shot a career-best 10-under 60. Adam Scott and Keegan Bradley both carded an 8-under 62. Scottie Scheffler nearly joined the club after recording a 7-under 63 to end round one.

Rory McIlroy always finds his way into the headlines. On day one of the Travelers, the Irishman cashed in the first ace of his PGA Tour career. The hole-in-one came from 218 yards out on the par-3 eighth hole. McIlroy retrieved the ball from the cup and tossed it to a fan in the gallery after walking off the green.

The cut line was posted at 4-under after many players got off to solid starts during the first two rounds in Connecticut.

Round three brought even more action. Keegan Bradley broke the tournament’s 54-hole scoring record at 21-under after shooting a 6-under 64. Rickie Fowler tied the lowest score for this year’s tournament and added his name to the mix after carding a 10-under 60. Patrick Cantlay fought his way into solo third place after recording five birdies during his final seven holes.

When is the next tournament?

The next tournament on the PGA Tour is the Rocket Mortgage Classic. This event will be played at Detroit Golf Club in Michigan. DCC features a 7,340-yard par-72 track and an $8.8 million purse.

The event’s previous winner was Tony Finau, who dominated the field after carding a 26-under 262. Finau’s performance secured a $1,512,000 share of the purse. Patrick Cantlay, Taylor Pendrith and Cameron Young recorded a 21-under 267 and finished in second place.
