The official announcement came three days ago that the London Spitfire would be getting an in-game skin to honor their 2018 OWL Grand Finals Championship. The “Flying Ace” Winston skin is designed around the London Spitfire’s logo, the Spitfire Mark II plane, and also gives Winston some additional cosmetic items like goggles and a sweet mustache. Below is a behind the scenes look into how the skin was crafted by developers.

When is it Available?
The skin will officially go live on August 29 and will be available for purchase until September 16, giving players just over two weeks to get the new skin. Although the cost has not yet been released, it will likely cost 300 OWL tokens or the standard 1,000 credits for a Legendary skin.
This is the second single OWL-related skin to be released in-game, with last year’s MVP, Sung-hyeon “JJoNak” Bang, being honored with the other. With OWL increasing its involvement and interaction with the game of Overwatch itself, could fans be in store for more in the future? For example, could there ever be an OWL-dedicated map in Overwatch? For now, all fans can do is wait and see what collaborations lie ahead in the future.
