In the release clip during Summer Games Fest, viewers got a quick peek at the upcoming cinematic. Titled “The Wastelander”, this new animated short is focused on Junker Queen. Audiences saw Junker Queen take some steps into the arena, where she was met by the applause of fans and the threats of three other competitors. It was a short glimpse into the world of Junker Queen, but it was just enough to get fans excited for the full story.

Even before the upcoming animated short, players already know a little but about this newest character. Junker Queen is the first new tank in Overwatch 2. She is also the voice that berates Junkrat and Roadhog on Junker Town as they capture the first point. Fans will surely learn more about the relationship between the three when the new short is released June 16.
