DMon, also known as Yuna Lee of the MEKA Squad, just received her Overwatch debut hero trailer. In the trailer, we don’t exactly get to see a breakdown of DMon’s abilites; the trailer itself is enough for players to begin speculating on what the mech user’s potential abilites could be based on her fight with Hammond the wrecking ball hamster. Although her full gameplay trailer will be posted on August 7, here is a speculation of the potential DMon Overwatch abilities based on the animated trailer.
As seen in the trailer, it’s obvious that DMon will be piloting her MEKA Squad Mech. From the trailer, we can infer that DMon is an aggressive tank-oriented character. She’s equipped with an energy blade, which can potentially be her primary attack, like with D.Va’s Mech; her primary attack is her fusion cannons. She is equipped with an energy blade on her right arm. Her left arm has a shield. It’s hard to tell if it’s her own personal shield or if it’s like Reinhardt’s shield that can extend and protect allies in trouble. While it might be a stretch, we see DMon follow up on an attack made on Hammond with a punch. Some can speculate that it was a charged punch or some sort of leap or charge attack. We know the Beast is capable of having jets, so it’s plausible DMon can have limited flight. It’s hard to say what her ultimate would look like until the full gameplay trailer on August 7, but current speculation revolves around the character going “Beast Mode,” empowering all abilites or it’s some sort of grab, pin, or knockup.
From the original teaser and her Hero Trailer, we get a first look at what DMon will look like. We can see that she has long purple hair and sharp features such as her sharp eyes and focused expression. In terms of her outfit, we can also make out that it’s some sort of combat pilot suit since she’s piloting her mech. Not only do we get to see DMon’s Mech Beast in the middle frame, but all of MEKA Squad. That includes DVa, DMon, Casino, Overlord, and King.
