The Washington Justice secured their first win against the Florida Mayhem after a scrappy match. Though the Mayhem fought hard and took the Justice to 5 maps, Washington proved too hungry for the win.
On Sanctum, the Washington Justice managed to quickly capture the point and win the first team fight due to an incredibly quick graviton surge from Corey “Corey” Nigra. However, the Florida Mayhem quickly flipped the point during the next team fight and held it for the win.
Despite the loss on Sanctum, Washington dominated on shrine. The Justice took the point very early after picking off Mayhem’s Reinhardt and Brigitte. Florida eventually flipped the point for near victory. However, the Justice rallied in overtime and eventually flipped back the point in an inspiring push.
Finally, on Village, Washington put up another great fight with early picks off the Florida Mayhem’s support line and quickly take the point. Florida rallied and flipped the point and all looked lost in overtime. Yet, The Washington Justice fought with everything they had and battled back for the point to eventually take map win.
Similarly to Nepal, Hollywood was a nail-biter, and the Justice never quit. Despite having every member hacked by Sang-bum “BQB” Le and less than a minute to go, Washington would manage to take point A. Again on point B, the Justice took it into overtime, but Gihyeon
“Ado”
Chon wouldn’t quit and led the charge for a second point take. It was only during the push onto point C where the Mayhem finally stopped the Justice. However, Washington’s can-do attitude didn’t stop there. Florida made an inspiring push where they too took both points A and B. In addition, four Justice players got hacked during Florida’s final push, however with just .20 meters left, Washington defended valiantly and held the point to take victory.

The Mayhem began to play much cleaner after the half time break. Despite losing the map overall, the Washington Justice took both points during round 1 in just 2 minutes and 12 seconds. Washington couldn’t seem to muster the same efficiency during their second push in round 4. The Mayhem proved they could be just as scrappy as the Justice as they made one final push in overtime during round 6 where they would steal victory from Washington.
Washington couldn’t seem to gain any momentum against BQB’s Sombra. BQB had a stellar map with massive EMPs and even hacked the entire Justice team during Florida’s first push. The Justice did have some hope as they would finish round 2 with a time advantage. However, despite the time disadvantage, Florida had an inspiring push where they took two points in overtime. The Justice fell short and only managed to take one point against a scrappy Florida defense and BQB’s seemingly unstoppable Sombra.

Everything seemed like the Florida Mayhem would reverse sweep the Justice. The Mayhem took ruins with relative ease, winning the map 100%-26%. However, Washington Justice may have been down, but they weren’t out. They took victory on lighthouse in a dominating fashion, not losing the point from the very beginning. It felt like the Mayhem lost all of the wind in their sails after their loss on Lighthouse and lost Well the same exact way, not flipping the point once. The Justice finally took their first victory from the jaws of defeat in style.
The Washington Justice finally took their first victory and Ado finally took his first victory ever in the Overwatch League. Despite missing playoffs, Justice fans can look now look forward to future victories and the improvements in the off-season.
