Fans all around the world sighed a breath of relief as the Washington Justice took to Twitter today. In an announcement tweet, they confirmed that beloved DPS player Ethan “Stratus” Yankel is staying with the team. Pending League approval, Stratus is signed on with the team through next season, and the one after that as well. This means fans can look forward to seeing Stratus with the Justice for at least two more years.
Though he didn’t receive much playtime until the end of the Season, Stratus quickly grew on Overwatch League fans far and wide. His quirky sense of humor and his relationship with DPS duo partner Corey “Corey” Nigra brought an even more likable charm to the Washington Justice. Often seen as underdogs, the Justice showcased their talents during Stage 4. With 2-2-2 lock implemented, Stratus and Corey were able to showcase their true talents. The team ended up finishing 6-1, proving that the Justice can thrive when unrestricted by GOATs.
As teams prep for the 2020 season, look to the Justice for a comeback story, Stratus and Corey included.
