Toronto Defiant Sign Beast

Publish Date: October 31, 2019

The Toronto Defiant have officially announced that Adam “Beast” Denton (name changed from Beasthalo upon signing) will be joining the roster for the 2020 season. Beast comes from Fusion University, a team that have previously dominated the North American Contenders scene. Though they haven’t found as much success in Contenders: Korea, each member of the team is still very capable.

Beast is one of several Fusion University alumni to be announced for the 2020 season. Others include Tae-hoon “Fuze” Kim and  Se-won “BERNAR” Shin to the London Spitfire as well as the highly anticipated Kyungbo “Alarm” Kim being promoted to the Philadelphia Fusion. The entire Fusion Uni roster has been anticipated to be Overwatch League players ever since the 2019 season. In fact, according to Arran “Halo” Brown on Twitter, the Chengdu Hunters were attempting to acquire the main tank before their inaugural season but the talks fell through. Now Beast has been given his time to shine on a newly refreshed Toronto Defiant roster that’s looking quite formidable.
