Numlocked Joins Toronto Defiant as Coach

Publish Date: May 28, 2020

On an episode of CAOverwatch, co founder of Overactive Media Adam Adamou announced that Seb “numlocked” Barton has joined the team as a player coach. He will primarily be focusing on the tank position and Liam “Mangachu” Campbell will be focusing on the DPS. Adam Adamou also entertained the possibility that numlocked might see playtime.

Numlocked was a member of the inaugural Los Angles Valiant roster where he found great success helping the team to a second place finish in the overall season. The team ultimately decided to stick with Pan-seung “Fate” Koo and so numlocked moved onto British Hurricane. After putting up some respectable results, he then moved onto Team Envy to find even more success up until the 2019 Gauntlet. From there, he was briefly a part of both NYYRIKKI Esports as well as the Montreal Rebellion.

It’s no secret that the Defiant are struggling as of late. One of the common areas of critique has been the tank line and more specifically Adam “Beast” Denton. By adding veteran talent to the staff, the Defiant have made a massive step in the right direction. With one or two more moves, as well as the continued integration of Harrison “Kruise” Pond as a leadership figure, the Defiant may be a dark horse contender for the 2020 postseason.
