The San Francisco Shock Release Nevix

One of the few truly predictable announcements from this offseason has finally come through, the release of San Francisco Shock offtank, Andreas “Nevix” Karlsson. Nevix has been with the Shock since their origin in 2018 but was benched through most of this season in favor of Hyo-bin “ChoiHyoBin” Choi.

A legend. A family member. And a part of our history forever.

Thank you for an incredible 2 seasons @Nevix_OW 🧡 pic.twitter.com/TVxJj95aNV

Nevix is a Swedish offtank player that many have remarked to be incredibly skilled for a bench player and a key part of San Francisco’s success behind the scenes. These things could help land him somewhere relatively quickly in free agency, however, his lack of playtime on the OWL stage may come back to hurt him.

As a reminder, all of the current offseason changes will be continuously updated in TGH’s Complete List of Overwatch League Offseason Moves.
