Sources: Former Chicken Contendies Main Tank, GiG, to be on XL2 Academy for Contenders 2019 Season 2

Sources have informed The Game Haus that former Chicken Contendies main tank, Rick “GiG” Salazar, will be on XL2 Academy for Season 2 of 2019 NA Contenders. It was announced that GiG would no longer be with Chicken Contendies on June 6, when the announcement came that Jang-hyeon “TiZi” Hwang and Cameron “Wub” Johnson would be joining the roster.

XL2 Academy has not announced a roster for their opening match June 17th against Tea Party. Several players have announced that they have moved on from the squad. This has left only the following four players remaining, according to the team’s Liquipedia page.

The Game Haus will continue to provide updates once the full XL2 Academy roster has been announced. Stay tuned for more announcements coming in the next several days, and potentially even as late as this weekend, as team’s like XL2 wrap up their preseason scrims and form their final rosters.
