Sigma Officially Confirmed as Overwatch Hero 31

Publish Date: July 22, 2019

It was officially announced today, after several days of teasers and leaks, that Overwatch’s 31st hero will be Sigma. This official announcement comes just before the beginning of Stage 4 of the OWL and right on the heels of one of the most impactful weeks in the game’s history. The video below reveals his origin story and shows what his 3D model looks like in-game.

As the teaser videos hinted at, and the announcement confirmed, Sigma looks more and more like he is an astrophysicist character with the ability to manipulate space with his abilities. This origin story is also one of the darker ones that Overwatch has unveiled so far, telling the story of a broken and conflicted new hero. Throughout the trailer, it also appears as if Sigma is changing forms, or at least personalities, that lead to his current state.

While the initial announcement didn’t reveal specific details about Sigma, more news and details on the hero are soon to come, including his skins and more about his abilities.

As more information comes out, The Game Haus will continue to provide all of the news and updates on Sigma.
