On Tuesday, the Shanghai Dragons signed the former Seoul Dynasty DPS, Byung-Sun “Fleta” Kim.
Fleta is a veteran presence in the game. He was a star player on Seoul Dynasty, staying with the team for the first two seasons of the Overwatch League. As a fan-favorite player, he’s a great addition to the already strong roster the Dragons have retained from the 2019 season. This is the first pickup for the Dragons in the off-season. It may be a good indicator of the caliber of announcements to come.
The Dragons started their off-season with the release of Young-Jin “Youngjin” Jin to free agency. Next for the Dragons was losing their incredible main tank in Young-jin “Gamsu” Noh to Dallas. Shortly before the Fleta signing, the Dragons dropped their main support, the impressive Kyungwoo “CoMa” Son into the free-agent pool. Off tank player Kang-jae “Envy” Lee was not released into free agency, though he is looking for opportunities with other teams.
Fleta fills the space in the roster left open by Youngjin’s departure. This leaves just the main tank and main support positions unfilled for the Dragons.
