The Seoul Dynasty vs the Philadelphia Fusion has been intense matches all seasons. As the Fusion started off the season with a win, they had previously loss all of the matches afterwards. Now, the Fusion have bookended their season with another win against the Dynasty to secure their place to the playoffs. Here is a recap of the Seoul Dynasty vs Philadelphia Fusion match.
Map 1: Busan
With a home map advantage Tiger Nation hoped that they would be able to get one up in the series. Unfortunately, it was the Fusion that came out swinging. The Dynasty barley made it on the board with just two quick caps before it being recapped immediately.
On Downtown the Dynasty started out with a more dive-esque composition with ball and dv.a. Junyoung ‘Profit’ Park was on his Pharah pick but wasn’t able to be impactful at all. Fusion hard focused him. This was a change in which previously the Fusion was losing in the neutral fights against the Dynasty, but that is no longer an issue as they are winning neutral and ultimate fights.
Mecha base was even more rough. The Fusion’s damage was just too overwhelming for Seoul. It seemed as if Seoul wasn’t ready for the aggression that Fusion was putting out. They only got a cap in OT netting 15% on both maps.
Map 2: Hanamura
The Seoul Dynasty chose Hanamura as the next map in the series. They were the first team to attack. It was a quick cap on A with a Symm TP to the high ground and a nice rotation from behind to the point. Their positioning made it so Fusion was not able to easily contest. It was point B that was the brick wall. Seoul made many swaps from Profit going Mei to tracer and then back to Mei to then Minseo ‘Marve1’ Hwang going from Rein to Orisa. The team had a hard time finding an initiation onto the point as Kyungbo ‘Alarm’ Kim’s bionades and seemingly loose use of ultimates made it so Seoul couldn’t get any percentage. It was looking dire for Seoul at this point, with such an easy win condition on the board.
Seoul on Defense went with Rein, D.Va, McCree, Mei, Lucio, and Bap. It was looking dangerous as at the beginning Hyeonwoo ‘Toyou’ Lim went to chase after Josue ‘EQO’ Corona’s Genji, but that left Marve1’s Rein without peel. That started a snowball of events. The Fusion was able to get 98.1% of the cap of A, before Seoul came back in to recontest. It was the Bap Window on one side and the fact that Marve1 got his shatter off before dying that Seoul was able to hold. At the end of the hold Dongeon ‘FITS’ Kim popped off and helped carry Seoul to a point A hold, which got them on the board.
Map 3: Numbani
The Fusion brought the match to Numbani next. Seoul attacked first opting for a heavy anti-dive comp of Orisa, Dva, Torb, McCree, Brig, and Bap. After Alarm was picked off at the start by Youngwan ‘Creative’ Kim the Fusion fell leaving the Dynasty with 4:51 for B. There was a questionable rally from Taesung ‘Anamo’ Jung after two of his teammates had died, but the next push Profit on Hanzo was able to pop off. The flanking Hanzo was enough for the Dynasty to push into B. It was against Profit that opened up point C with a headshot on EQO’s Sombra who was holding EMP. Without that tool the Fusion wasn’t able to put up a defense. That netted Seoul with a 3:03 time bank.

The Fusion struggled to cap A. Though they went for a pure dive, the composition that Seoul picked was highly flexible to deal with it. The Fusion capped with less than a minute remaining. Though A was a struggle, B and C for the Fusion was almost a roll. With Marve1 overstepped and getting eliminated early in the point B defense the Dynasty kept getting staggered and wasn’t able to put a defense up.
The time bank went to 2:00 for the Fusion and 2:03 for Seoul. Philadelphia adapted and was able to get 88.9% right off the batt after Marve1 and Profit was picked off. Though Seoul was able to stabilize for a little while, they ended giving the point to Fusion almost in OT. For point B, though there was a fight going on, the Dynasty was not able to touch allow the cart to roll in, for a quick cap on B. Eventually Seoul was able to stop it right before the turn to the end of C.
On Seoul’s second attack the Fusion read they Dynasty as Seoul still sent Marve1 in on ball to scout. But this time he wasn’t able to get out. After that it was a one push that took Daniel ‘FunnyAstro’ Hathaway down and a fast cap on A. The Dynasty was able to push all the way to B before OT started. But because they used their ults for the fast push on B, they were facing a Fusion with multiple ults. Though they got it almost to the golden box of victory, Marve1 was just too low. With no shield the Dynasty wasn’t able to stay on cart. Hence the map went to the Fusion.
Map 4: Dorado
It was the double bubble composition that the Dynasty decided to go out from spawn with in their attack. With the Fusion in firm control of the high ground, it took two minutes just to get the cart under the archway. This left Seoul with a time crunch. Though Toyou was on high energy, he wasn’t near the grav that was thrown to the high ground and reset his own energy by self eliminating himself. The communication seemed off as FITS threw in an EMP when everyone was still respawning. That meant that Seoul was only able to get 59.03% on B.
The Fusion right away took the high ground and was able to control the space much better. It gave them most of A for free. Though the Dynasty was able to hold right before A for a little while, the rotations that Fusion took didn’t give up a lot of damage as they were double shielding. In the end Jaehyuk ‘Carpe’ Lee quick 2k to the high ground made it an easy push into the box of victory for the Fusion.
The End
This cemented the end of the Seoul Dynasty’s season 4. It wasn’t a traditionally close map, but both teams had ups and downs. This is most likely the last time the community will see this iteration of the Seoul Dynasty. Thank you to the Seoul Dynasty for a great season of Overwatch!
