San Francisco Shock (13-4) vs Boston Uprising (7-11)
Final Score: Shock 4-0 Uprising
This game went as many thought it would as the Shock began their roll through week 3 with a 4-0 victory. The Shock showed that they can counter Sombra in this matchup, with an impressive showing from the entire roster.
Oasis: Shock 2-0 Uprising
The Uprising came out with an interesting composition on the first map but to no avail. The Shock controlled the ultimate economy throughout the first map and moved onto the second with a full head of steam. Keeping Richard “rCk” Kanerva at an unfortunate 1:45 per EMP, the Shock again rolled through the second map. In a flash, they had a 1-0 lead in the series.
Paris: Shock 3-2 Uprising
The Shock made a statement in the first round about their ability to play against Sombra. On Paris, they continued to make that statement. On Boston’s opening attack, the Uprising managed to get point A off of a well-coordinated pharah play. This led to a long fight on point B that eventually went the way of the Uprising. On offense, the Shock blazed through both points after getting an ultimate advantage against Boston’s bunker composition. Through some clutch kills from Dong-jun “Rascal” Kim, the Shock managed to go up 2-0 in the series.

Hollywood: Shock 2-1 Uprising
The Uprising came back on Hollywood with more well-developed plays, showing some prepared coaching. However, the Shock were ready to counter when it mattered most. At several points on their first defense, the Shock managed to swing fights back in their favor after being down in the count. After a great hold, the Shock managed to roll through point A and get the payload to its destination, winning the map and the series in the process.
Dorado: Shock 1-0 Uprising
With the series secured, the Shock came into the final map fighting for map differential. This one went the way of the rest of the series, as the Shock quickly halted the Uprising’s push and claimed the map victory, 4-0.
