The Philadelphia Fusion are partnering up with the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute. The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute is a world leader in orthopedic care, providing communities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York with high quality, affordable musculoskeletal care. The Philadelphia Fusion are known for prioritizing their player’s physical health; they will be the fourth Philadelphia-based professional sports team to partner with Rothman Orhopaedics. Rothman Orthopaedics also works with the Phillies, Sixers, and Eagles.

“To be competitive at the highest level of esports, our players need to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prevent injury wherever possible,” said Tucker “BLT” Roberts, President of Spectacor Gaming and Philadelphia Fusion. “Our partnership with Rothman Orthopaedics provides our players with the best medical treatment and helps them optimize their performance.”
The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute are joining a long list of Fusion sponsors that also include Xfinity and Nerdstreet Gamers. They have signed a five-year contract with the Fusion; they will provide on-site medical coverage once the Fusion Arena opens in 2021. Rothman Orthopaedic is also expected to sponsor the “Hometown Hero Award” that will be presented to local service members at all home matches. When asked about the partnership, Alexander R. Vaccaro, MD, PhD, MBA, and President of Rothman Orthopaedic Institute had this to say. “We feel it is important that esports athletes receive the same high-level musculoskeletal care that athletes receive in any other professional sport in order to maintain a trajectory of future success.”
