The long wait is over for the Paris Eternal fans this offseason. After seeing their 2020 roster be shipped off to various other teams or dropped entirely, many were worried about the future of the Eternal. Luckily for all the Paris fans, the start of their roster was revealed. On Wednesday December 9, the Paris Eternal announced the first six players for their 2021 roster.

The announcements started with the team’s decision to welcome back General Manager Kyoung Ey “AVALLA” Kim to the team. AVALLA had worked with the Eternal through the 2020 season as an Assistant General Manager. Now fully promoted to GM, AVALLA worked to create a roster of European talent similar to what the team had done back in its inaugural season in 2019.
Soon after the Eternal announced AVALLA’s return, they begun to reveal players with their own individual announcements. First up was Paris’ new pair of DPS players. The Eternal welcomed Obey Alliance’s flex DPS player Nikolai “NaGa” Dereli, and former Dallas Fuel hit-scan Stefan “Onigod” Fiskerstrand. NaGa excelled in his time in Contenders, even helping Obey overcome European Contenders end-boss British Hurricane. Onigod played a few matches in Contenders, but truly displayed his skills with his time in OWL.
Not too long after, the Eternal surprised fans with their support line. Paris announced the signing of Overwatch League vet Alberto “neptuNo” González, along with another Obey player Emir “Kaan” Okumus. Surrounded by several rookies, the veteran presence of neptuNo will certainly play a large role in helping Paris keep up with the rest of the league.
The last pair of signings revealed on that Wednesday were the new Paris tanks. First up was Daniel “Daan” Scheltema, who had previously played for Young and Beautiful, Revival, and ATL Academy. Helping out on the front line is former Washington Justice off tank Elliot “ELLIVOTE” Vaneryd. Much like the other positions, Paris is hoping the experience from one former OWL player will help the rookie in the same role.
The roster reveal is done for the moment, but Paris does need to sign at least one more player before the deadline in January. Stay on the lookout for more announcements soon from the Paris Eternal.
