As 2019 as a year has just come to a close, so do two major chapters in Overwatch’s 2019 story. Both the Winter Wonderland and Overwatch’s Competitive Season 19 are both set to end at the end of the day today, in about 20 hours from the release of this article.

With their end comes Competitive Season 20, and a slew of hopeful things coming to celebrate it alongside the starting of 2020 which, truth be told, should be a landmark year for Overwatch. The game’s esport, the Overwatch League, is moving to a fully localized model this year, traveling to three different continents and 19 different cities.
On top of this, Overwatch’s sequel, Overwatch 2, is set to come out in the fall of 2020, which looks to revitalize one of the decade’s greatest games and put it in a position to keep growing in 2020 and beyond.
So, while a big chapter in Overwatch’s history is set to end, there’s a lot to look forward to in 2020. We’re excited to see what’s coming alongside all of you, so stay tuned!
