With the second season of Overwatch League nearing ever closer and tensions on the rise, I thought what better way to fan the flames of pre-season competitiveness than to rank the DPS of the three warring California-based franchises? This list will be taking into account their statistics, general performance/impact, and how well their team placed in the overall rankings at the end of the league’s inaugural season.

Fans of the LA Valiant and even the league in general may be familiar with the “In-N-Out incident” regarding Agilities. Those who are will also know that afterwards he came back stronger than ever and ready to fight for his spot on the team. He did so spectacularly. Although initially his run through the season started out rough, Agilities was able to bounce back and end up proudly with the Valiant in the second spot of the overall rankings at the end.
Aside from his redemption arc, though, he’s also a great player. He is widely considered one of the top Genji players in the Overwatch League and currently holds the third spot for highest damage per 10 minutes out of all players.

Transferring mid-season from the Seoul Dynasty to the LA Valiant, Bunny was another instrumental factor to their success. While he never had a redemption arc like his teammate Agilities, he was consistent during his time on Seoul Dynasty and LA Valiant. His placement at number two is due to this consistency.
He did his job and was noticeably impactful during his matches. It’s not always the flashiest players that are the best. Sometimes it’s those who simply do what needs to be done. At the end of the day, Bunny always complemented his other DPS counterpart and carried his weight. He currently holds the sixth spot for damage per 10 minutes.

Not putting the aim god on this list would be nothing short of a disservice. With one of the most oppressive Widowmakers in Overwatch League, Surefour solidified his spot as one of the top overall players in Overwatch. He has been able to duke it out with other very highly respected Widowmaker players like Do-hyeon “Pine” Kim from the New York Excelsior. However, clocking in at 24 on the damage per 10 minutes list, the placing doesn’t seem to fit the player. It’s true that Surefour was not overly consistent throughout the season, but he did improve. It is likely that this improvement will carry over to the upcoming season of the OWL.

The Doomfist fiend himself, Hydration falls in at number 4 on the list. Another consistent player throughout Overwatch League’s inaugural season, you could always count on him to get a pick, or two. Though he only stands 13th on the damage per 10 minutes list, his skill is undeniable. If you were to go back and watch the matches he played in, you would be hard stuck to find an instance where his presence wasn’t noticeable.
While he is known for whipping out the Doomfist and dominating, let’s not forget his Pharah, which was his more usual pick. He wasn’t always causing the crowd to go wild on Pharah, much like Bunny on Tracer, but he did what had to be done to be effective.

There’s a reason why Mr. 150k is worth the $150,000 his nickname implies. Sinatraa is known for his highly aggressive flanking Tracer, and for good reason. He plays Tracer at a level akin to the best in the world such as NYXL’s Jong-ryeol “Saebyeolbe” Park. There is no denying that this young OWL star earned his spot in the league.
However, he was simply not able to show up in the way that everyone expected him to. In several of his matches he struggled to create the impact that a Tracer needs to for the team. It is worth noting that the Shock as a team were also under-performing. Hopefully his practice during the off-season will show during season two, and he’ll bring out the dominant Tracer everyone knows him for. Sinatraa is currently at number 10 on the damage per 10 minutes list.
